11 Week Academy & Winter Camp
Our winter academy is based on program elements from our well-regarded summer and winter camp programs, combined with the educational diversity of a first-rate international school. The first concern of our Academy is the welfare and happiness of each child.
We offer a rigorous academic program combined with professional daily ski instruction. Other activities offered to our students include cross-country skiing, swimming lessons, ice skating, optional weekend race training and ski instruction, snowboarding, and educational and cultural trips.
Safety, learning and fun are our guiding principles and we want to see each student thrive and grow in our stunning natural surroundings. Lovell Academy strives to put fun into learning!
Our Staff
Ski/Snowboard Instructors
Our professional ski and snowboard instructors work with all levels, from beginners to advanced, focusing on improvement, skills and techniques for our students.
We are committed to creating memorable and safe winter adventures for children, fostering their love for the sport while ensuring their skill development and safety.
Over the winter term these talented individuals will guide and train your children to become the best skiers they can be.
At the end of the season, all children will receive a Swiss Snow-league certificate and badge to mark their accomplishments. This system is used all over Switzerland and can be shared with any future instructors to clarify their current level of achievement.
Teachers
Our carefully-selected, certified, competent and entusiastic teachers recognise each child’s individuality and uniqueness.
We do everything possible to ensure that each child thinks of the Academy as a time to learn, to have fun, to make new friends.
We provide an environment in which children can improve their academic development, sports skills and language ability - as well as guiding students to discover more about the world, other cultures and themselves.
We strive to create a special experience, forming memories which will last a lifetime. Lovell Academy draws people together from different parts of the world who form a supportive community.

Our kitchen staff include our chef and assistants who provide our students with delicious meals, along with healthy snacks at morning break time and before ski lessons.

Nurtured ChallengedInspirational
Amelia spent a whole magical Winter term at the Lovell Camp when she was eight years old. We were transitioning from living abroad where she had predominantly been studying in a foreign language, so she needed to be in a position to rejoin her year group at Francis Holland School: an academically selective school in London. There was some catching up to do, so that she was sound and confident, particularly in Maths and English: this was achieved and far more.
Profound Transformative Comprehensive
It was so nice to have the opportunity to bring our two daughters, (11years old twins), back to you this summer! Not as summer campers such as in 2019, (when the girls had their 1st– 3 weeks away from home– experience), but, as future English language students. As we really needed some preparation to attend this all English-speaking school, we choose Victoria Lovell and her team to teach both English and maths to our daughters. Who would be a better option?
Empowering Stimulating Accommodating
My son started at the Lovell Winter Camps when he was just 3 1/2 and everyone at the camp was so patient and caring and made every moment fun for him. We always felt that he was in safe hands and everyone was very professional. Aside from skiing they always provided fun and educationally age appropriate classes for him and he was able to learn French which is something he was not able to take while in his normal school in the States at his age.
