Lovell International Camps is one of the longest running and most successful summer camps in Switzerland.
Winter Camp Experience
In our Swiss wintry haven, children relish a well-rounded and secure experience. Ski and snowboard instruction, coupled with enriching programs, encompass a range of activities, including swimming, indoor-rock climbing, arts and crafts, and various sports and games.
Our dedicated instructors provide personalized attention both on and off the mountain, ensuring the children's comfort and safety. Moreover, the winter camp offers kids the opportunity to enhance their language skills in English, French, or German. Language classes encourage vocabulary development and practical application in the program. At Lovell Camps, we create a memorable winter adventure that combines sports, learning, and the joy of exploration for young minds.
Embark on an Swiss Adventure in Nature's Most Stunning Playground
Gstaad, amidst the Swiss Alps, offers an idyllic setting for a winter kids camp. Blanketed in snow, the natural environment encourages outdoor exploration and activities, from skiing to snowman-building. Surrounded by majestic peaks and serene landscapes, Gstaad's location fosters a strong connection with nature, providing an unforgettable backdrop for young adventurers.
Programs
Lovell Camps offers 14 one-week camp sessions from December to March, catering to individual campers, school groups (school ski trips), youth groups and family groups. We warmly welcome children to have an experience of a lifetime, in the world-famous Gstaad Ski Region.
Day Campers
Between 10 and 15 day campers attend camp on Mondays to Fridays from 09:00 until 17:30. There are counsellors assigned to supervise and counsel the day students to insure that they too receive full benefit from their camp experience.

Week & Multi Week Campers
Individual campers and groups will enjoy 5 to 6 full days on the hill. Sessions are available for one up to fourteen weeks. Children are welcome to sign up for multiple sessions
Weekend Sessions:
Weekend ski and snowboard programs are offered to individuals and groups who are staying for two or more sessions. Sessions are available for one to fourteen weeks; children are welcome to sign up for multiple sessions.
Boarding
There are up to 30 boarding campers between the ages of 5 and 15, representing a wide range of nationalities. Two to four children share a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, with one counsellor per room to supervise daily routines and to ensure that the benefits of the winter experience are maximized for each child.
In winter camps at least 3 members of staff are on for evening program, bed time routines and night duty with 1 room on the camper wing specifically set aside for overnight staff.

Groups
Lovell Camps has over 40 years experience running an international school and camp and understand that each school or group is unique. This is why we work with schools and groups to create an ideal winter experience. Please download the ‘Winter Camp Terms and Conditions‘ for further information on our standard packages and pricing, however, we encourage schools to work with us to create a ski trip which fits into their program and budget.

Regular Day Schedule
The Lovell Mountain Lodge
Mountain Lodge
Our cozy lodge, inspired by Swiss mountain retreats, welcomes campers with warmth and hospitality. Located in Schönried, Switzerland, it's just 600 meters from the train station and cable car in Gstaad's ski resort. The lodge features 18 rooms for 2 to 6 guests, plus 2 group rooms for ten. All rooms have private showers and toilets. Amenities include a kitchen, dining area, complimentary tea/coffee, terrace, sports court, tree house, campfire spots, and sledding fields. Inside, enjoy lounges, a movie room, equipment storage, free internet, and parking.
Ski Resort
The Gstaad ski resort boasts 53 lifts, accessing 220 km of slopes, with two snow parks, a number of sled runs and winter hiking trails. The resort is between 1000 and 3000 metres above sea level and the longest run in the region is 1600 vertical meters (more than most resorts in the North American Rocky Mountains). The resort has the only glacier ski area in the Bernese Oberland and 60% of the main slopes are equipped with snow cannons, guaranteeing snow cover.
Special Camps and Events
Weekend Program
Depending on the session, Saturdays and Sundays are arrival and departure days for campers participating in one-week sessions. If individuals or groups sign up for more than one session, then a full weekend program will be offered.
Saturdays are usually more relaxed, with morning ski instruction followed by an afternoon of shopping in nearby Gstaad, followed by a supervised free swim and movie night.
Sundays are all-day excursions organized to give the children opportunities to see different parts of Switzerland and learn about the alpine environment. These outings may include a ski trip to a nearby ski resort or cultural excursions to notable Swiss cities, towns, castles or museums.

Excursions
Special excursions can be arranged throughout the winter, including all-day ski excursions as well as cultural trips to places such as Montreux, Interlaken or Bern. For the more adventurous, overnights such as camping out in igloos or an overnight stay at one of the fully-equipped Swiss Alpine Club huts can also be arranged.

Special Programs
Each camp session ends with a ‘Special Events Day’ in which the children participate in skiing events and enjoy a special dinner party. The campers are presented with awards and are recognized for their achievements in skiing, snowboarding and language classes. Other special events include a disco, movie night, ice skating, indoor rock climbing, cultural excursions, etc.

Family Packages
Family ski holidays are always a great experience We offer a way for both parents and children to truly enjoy themselves. Children will experience a fun-filled, fully supervised and all-inclusive camp program – which will last from the moment they wake up to the time they go to bed.

Our winter academy is based on program elements from our well-regarded summer and winter camp programs, combined with the educational diversity of a first-rate international school. The first concern of our Academy is the welfare and happiness of each child. We offer a rigorous academic program combined with professional daily ski instruction.
